Holiday Fun: Snowtivities

Is there anything better during the wintertime than a glorious day spent playing and frolicking around in the snow? Today I thought I’d share a few of my favorite activities to do in the snow—otherwise known as “snowtivities.”

I love making snowmen, but my hands get so cold! When I was little I had these huge mittens that were so warm but they made me completely clumsy, and the result was usually a very lopsided snowman.  I miss those days. Maybe I can purposely buy large, clumsy mittens so I can relive my lopsided snowman family adventure…

I also love to make snow angels; they are so pretty and it makes me happy to look at them! Every time I pass a snow angel I think about how much fun the person was having when they made it… and that makes me smile.

Speaking of snow, check out this sweet little poem by one of my favorite poets, Shel Silverstein. It’s called “Snowball.”

I made a little snowball
As perfect as could be.
Thought I'd keep it as a pet
And let it sleep with me.
I made it some pajamas
And a pillow for it's head
Then last night it ran away,
But first- it wet the bed.

How cute is that poem?! I just love it… What’s your favorite holiday rhyme?

Also, what’s your favorite thing about the snow? I kinda miss it living here in LA…

Those snowmen are so cute! I love snow angels too, but I never make them because.. well I don't really know why .I have never lived in the snow, I only see snow when I go skiing ar visit my grandparents in the winter. Maybe I'll make a snow angel next time! :P xoxo

I rarely get snow where I live. I love snow it's so pretty.
